Voltra is a music player and store for people who want to own their music. We offer a desktop app, a mobile app, and a digital music store build right in.

The Voltra Desktop player is free, forever. There are NO ADS. We also offer a Premium Membership with lots of great features, like cloud syncing, music backup, and the stream-to-own feature for $10/month.

Voltra supports all standard audio filetypes, including lossless filetypes:

Yes, you can edit ID3 tags with the Desktop Player, and Voltra will write the new metadata to your files.

Yes, we are currently working on a Mobile Application that will sync with the Desktop Player.

Yes. Both Voltra Desktop and Mobile players work offline. They do require internet access to perform services such as syncing, and to create or login to an account. However, you do not need to be logged in to use the Desktop app.

Stream-to-own is a new concept that allows Voltra users to stream music affordably to decide if they like it. Listen once for free, and pay a small fee for each consecutive listen. After the 10th listen, you've fully paid for the track, and it's yours to keep!

Desktop Player

The Voltra Desktop player is a desktop Application for managing your music, and discovering new music to add to your collection. Listen to your music, edit metadata, create playlists, and more.

You can currently request an invitation to our private beta at voltra.co/signup We will be lauching public beta soon, and the app will also be available in the Mac app store.

If you're on the latest Mac version, Voltra will prompt you to update within the app.

If you're on a Mac and a Voltra version older than 2.2.0, you'll need to download the app again from the download page. (Beta group — the download link sent to your email.)

If you're on Linux, you'll need to download the new version of the app every time (auto updater coming soon)

To change your password, click Forgot Password on the Sign In dialog. Follow the link sent to your email to reset it, and choose a new password. It will be sent to the email you used to sign up for your account.

Mobile Player

NOTE: The mobile app is currently in development.

The mobile player is currently in developement, but it will be available in the app store for your device.

The Voltra mobile app is a simple way to listen to the music and playlists on your phone. You can either stream the music you've synced to the cloud, download it to your phone to listen offline, or listen to music stored locally on your device.

The shop and file editing features are available on the Desktop player only.

It's free.

Syncing is offering as a part of our Premium Membership. If you don't have a Premium membership, you can still transfer your files the old-fashioned way, and listen to them on Voltra.
